‘Maybe he borrowed money, but there is saffron…’, Akhilesh Yadav takes a dig at Justice Yashwant Verma

Samajwadi Party president and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav has made a big comment on the cash found at the house of Delhi High Court judge Yashwant Verma. He said, “…it is possible that he (Yashwant Verma) has borrowed that money…only a small amount has been seized. We have seen several hundred crores of rupees being seized in Uttarakhand, but till date it has not been known whose money it is…”

Akhilesh Yadav said that the question of corruption cannot be raised against the judge. It is possible that the judge may have borrowed money from someone and kept it there…

When the journalists started laughing at Akhilesh Yadav’s answer, Akhilesh Yadav said that you people are laughing… hey what are you talking about? He may have borrowed it yesterday and kept it… you watch the video carefully… a saffron coloured cloth is visible in it. So he must have borrowed that money. He must have kept it there. Many times fire breaks out. Because of that, the fire has broken out.

BJP people should return our money… Akhilesh

He said that some money has been seized. We have seen several hundred crores of money seized, but till date it is not known whose money it was.

Akhilesh Yadav said that money was seized in Uttarakhand. We and you do not know. We want that no one’s money should be there. We people… you people should distribute it. Elections are coming. And remember, when it was said that Samajwadi Party had… 25 crores.

He said that even today we are demanding that our money be returned to us. It was said that Samajwadi Party has businessmen, it is their money. That money is ours, so I demand from the people of BJP that they return our money.

Akhilesh’s taunt on UP government regarding Mahakumbh

He further said, “… In a holy event like Mahakumbh, the government neither wants to compensate the dead or missing devotees nor wants to find them… The path of truth and religion is Sanatan, but they (state government) are lying about the death or disappearance of devotees… It was propagated that it was a digital Mahakumbh. If it was so, then where did the drones and CCTVs go there (in the Mahakumbh Mela area)? …”

He said that this Mahakumbh was started by Emperor Harshvardhan, but the government has not taken his name even once.
