On Saturday, Delhi Municipal Corporation along with traffic police launched an anti-encroachment drive near GTB Enclave, IHBAS Hospital. During this, five kiosks were seized. The vendors and shopkeepers who set up temporary shops on the roadside protested, but the police force present on the spot pacified the matter by convincing them. The officials instructed not to encroach on the roadside again. After this, all the junk was removed from the spot by loading it in vehicles.
The corporation official said that complaints were received from local residents and public representatives regarding continuous encroachment, taking cognizance of which, encroachment was removed from GTB Enclave, outside IHBAS Hospital, Ward No. 236, 238, 239, Karadampuri, Saboli, Gokulpuri, 60 Foota Road Balbir Nagar to Gokalpuri Chowk, Maujpur to Durgapuri Chowk, Gokalpuri Chowk to Ambedkar College Chowk, UP Border to Saboli Railway Station, a total of 10 km areas. He said that if encroachment happens again, action will be taken along with confiscation of goods.

DDA removed slums in Karkardooma area
