Two Indians shot dead in Virginia, USA

A heartbreaking incident has come to light in Accomac County, Virginia, USA, in which two members of the Patel family of Kanoda village in Mehsana district of Gujarat were shot dead. The deceased include a 56-year-old father and his 24-year-old daughter. The incident happened when a black man entered their store and opened fire indiscriminately.
According to preliminary information, the accused came to the store to buy liquor at night. The brother of the deceased said that the suspect first tried to make a purchase, but the dispute escalated over something, after which he opened fire. The father and daughter died on the spot in this attack.
It is worth noting that incidents of attack on people of Indian origin are increasing continuously in America, due to which there is an atmosphere of concern in the Indian community. The police have intensified the search for the accused and security has been increased in the surrounding areas.
