In the Sambhal violence of UP, the police has taken a big action and arrested Jama Masjid’s Sadar Zafar Ali. The police first detained Zafar Ali and interrogated him, then arrested him. After the court’s order, the police is continuously taking action in the case of violence that broke out during the survey on November 24.
So far, the police have sent more than 50 people to jail in the Sambhal violence case, including many women. This is the first time that the Sadar of Shahi Jama Masjid Committee will be questioned.
SIT was questioning Sadar Zafar Ali in the case of violence during Shahi Jama Masjid on November 24 itself. At present, as a precaution, the police has deployed a large number of police, PAC and RAF outside the Jama Masjid. Sadar was called for questioning by SP Shrish Chandra and co Sadar Anuj Chaudhary, where he was arrested.
What was the whole matter
A survey was being conducted in the Jama Masjid of Sambhal on Sunday, November 24 on the orders of the court. The protesters opposing this clashed with the police. During this, 4 people died. A total of 20 people including Deputy District Magistrate Ramesh Chandra were injured in this violence, firing and stone pelting. In view of the tension prevailing after the violence, internet services were shut down in Sambhal tehsil.
The Jama Masjid was surveyed on the orders of a local court. On Sunday, the survey team went to survey the mosque again. A petition has been filed in the local court claiming that the place where the Jama Masjid is located, there was a Harihar temple earlier. The SIT is investigating this entire violence.
