Uttarakhand: Deaf and mute woman raped in Pithoragarh, revealed when she became pregnant, accused arrested
A case that shames humanity has come to light from Pithoragarh. A man raped a deaf and dumb woman. The matter came to light after the woman became pregnant.
Rape of a deaf and dumb woman
According to the police, on March 20, a person resident of Kotwali Pithoragarh had complained about the matter in the police station. In which he had told that his deaf sister has been raped. He came to know about the incident when he came to know that his sister is pregnant. Police registered a case against unknown under section of BNS on the complaint of the victim’s brother.
Police arrested the accused
On the instructions of Pithoragarh SP Rekha Yadav, a team was formed to search for the accused. On March 21, on the basis of secret information, the team arrested the accused Suresh Ram (52) alias Surya son of late Jamun Ram resident of Pithoragarh age years from Chandak Road. The accused has been produced in the court by the police after the legal process and sent to jail.
