Uttarakhand: Massive fire in Roorkee, 20 huts engulfed in flames, chaos ensued

Last night, 20 huts in Roorkee’s Landhaura area caught fire. Three cattle were burnt alive in the fire. There was chaos on the spot after seeing the flames. As soon as the information was received, the fire brigade team reached the spot.

The incident happened on Saturday night. According to the information received, a hut in Shikarpur village located in Landhaura suddenly caught fire. The fire engulfed the surrounding huts in no time. As soon as the information was received, a team of fire brigade personnel reached the spot. After a lot of hard work, the fire was brought under control. But by then 20 huts had been burnt to ashes.

Three cattle burnt alive
It is being told that about 100 cattle were caught in the fire. The fire brigade personnel somehow saved the cattle by opening the ropes tied to them. Three cattle were burnt alive in the fire. While two cattle were badly scorched. Also, the belongings of the forest Gujjars were burnt to ashes.
