Uttarakhand: Strong protest against Mahendra Bhatt in Pauri, protesters created ruckus, police took action

Celebrations were held at Pauri’s Ramlila Maidan on the completion of three years of Uttarakhand’s Dhami government. Uttarakhand BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt also reached as the chief guest to attend this program, but as soon as he reached, the Congress started creating a ruckus.

Congress workers allege that Mahendra Bhatt and the BJP government have cheated the public. Seeing the ruckus increasing, the police present on the spot detained the protesting Congressmen and took them to the police station. Uttarakhand Youth Congress state general secretary Ashish Negi said that in three years the BJP government has cheated the public.

Ashish Negi alleges that the BJP government has not done any development work in Pauri assembly constituency. BJP had promised the people of Pauri that they would develop this city as a tourist city, but no work has been done in the field of tourism here. The local MLAs here are not even able to raise the problems of Pauri in the assembly, which is unfortunate.

BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt has also given a statement on this protest of Congress in Pauri. He said that Congress is upset after repeated defeats. That is why it is opposing him. His government is continuously doing development work. Many schemes of the government have worked to strengthen the state.
