The reason for this offer being given at liquor shops in UP is the new excise policy. Because liquor shops in UP will have to finish the stock by 31 March 2025. Because the new excise policy of 2025-26 is being implemented and new shops will start from April 1 through e-lottery. Because of this, liquor shopkeepers are offering one bottle free on one bottle. After this offer, long queues are being seen at liquor shops.
