The police have arrested the accused who had escaped after robbing the car of an Uber driver. The accused were coming from Haryana to Dehradun to carry out a major incident in Dehradun. The accused had planned to run away with the stolen car. But before carrying out the crime, the police arrested all the four accused.

On March 23, Ghaziabad resident Imran Ahmed had given a complaint to the police regarding the matter. In which he had told that he drives Shiv Kumar Gupta’s taxi. On March 22, he had brought 2 passengers from Panipat Haryana to Raipur Dehradun in a car booked through Uber, when he reached Raipur with both the passengers, both the passengers robbed his car at gunpoint and fled from the spot. The police registered a case on the basis of the complaint and started investigating the matter.
The police arrested all the four accused
The SSP formed different teams of SOG and directed to arrest the accused. The investigation team scanned the CCTV cameras on the roads leading to the crime scene. On March 24, based on information received from an informer, the police arrested four accused near Ghoda Factory Balawala and recovered the looted vehicle. The accused were identified as Deepak Malik, Raunak Gehlawat, Vinay Kuma, Dharamveer. All four accused are residents of Haryana.
The plan was to carry out a major robbery in Dehradun
The police recovered 1 pistol, 5 live cartridges, a country-made pistol, 2 cartridges and 2 daggers from the accused. During interrogation, Deepak and Raunak told that Dharamveer and Vinay, who were already living in Dehradun, were planning to carry out a major robbery in Dehradun. For which they had also ordered a pistol. After carrying out the major robbery by robbing the car brought on booking, the plan was to run away in the same car.
