The Journalist Welfare Fund Committee has recommended financial assistance of Rs 30 lakh to six journalists. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, who is also the chairman of the committee, will approve this recommendation. 11 cases came before the committee for consideration for the Journalist Welfare Fund.

In the cases of financial assistance, financial assistance has also been recommended to the family of journalist Manjul Singh Majila, who died last month. In the committee meeting held on Monday under the chairmanship of Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari, records were found incomplete in the remaining five cases.

The DG Information directed that the District Information Officer should complete the documents related to the application by giving one more chance in the remaining cases. A committee meeting was held for the Chief Minister Journalist Samman Pension Scheme. One case was placed before the committee in the meeting.

No decision was taken in the case due to lack of necessary records. Non-official members of Journalist Welfare Fund Committee, journalist representative BD Sharma, Dr. DD Mittal, Nisha Rastogi, Dinesh Joshi along with Additional Director of Information Department, Ashish Kumar Tripathi and Joint Director KS Chauhan were present in the meeting.
