CS inaugurated Uttarakhand Entrepreneur Conclave, emphasised on women entrepreneurship

Chief Secretary Radha Raturi inaugurated the Uttarakhand Udyam Conclave organised by the Industries Department in Dehradun on Wednesday. Addressing the programme, the Chief Secretary said that special focus should be placed on increasing the participation of women in the workforce.
The CS lauded the Industries Department for the continuous increase in the contribution of MSMEs to the state’s GDP. Also, while talking about Uttarakhand’s Global Investors Summit’s Peace to Prosperity, he said that the environment in Uttarakhand is industrial friendly and out of the MoUs worth three lakh crores in the Global Investors Summit, ninety thousand crores have been grounded.
The Chief Secretary lauded Uttarakhand’s strategic investment plan and called it a benchmark for the state. He also lauded the Industries Department’s innovations like U Hub Investor Mitra and transport subsidy. The Chief Secretary motivated the department to list small industries so that they can get more investment at the global level.
Discussing the achievements of Uttarakhand in the industrial sector, CS Raturi said that Uttarakhand is ranked top in the ease of doing business of the Department of Industrial and Internal Trade Promotion, and is included in the leading category in the startup ranking, as well as in terms of export, Uttarakhand is also ranked first among the Himalayan states.
