Uttarakhand: Vigilance investigation in Dehradun Municipal Corporation tender case completed, hearing will be held in High Court today

The vigilance investigation in the tender case to a new company for 47 wards in Dehradun Municipal Corporation has been completed. Vigilance has prepared a 50-page report in about two weeks of investigation and presented it before the High Court. The hearing in this case will be held today.

It is worth noting that four months ago, the Municipal Corporation had started the tender process for a new company to collect garbage in 47 wards. In which, in January, Nature Green Company was selected to collect garbage from door to door in 47 wards of Dehradun. During this time, another company involved in the tender process had knocked the door of the High Court regarding its exclusion in the technical bid of the tender.
The company had raised questions on the process of the Municipal Corporation
The company said that there was no reason to exclude them. They had raised questions on the process of the Municipal Corporation. The Municipal Corporation had also presented its side in the court in the matter. The High Court, feeling the need for a vigilance investigation in the matter, had handed over the investigation to the Vigilance. Regarding the matter, Vigilance Director V Murugeshan has said that about two weeks ago, there was a hearing in the High Court on the tender case of the door-to-door garbage collection company in the Municipal Corporation.
The High Court will hear the case today
The director said that Vigilance was issued instructions to investigate the matter and was asked to submit the report on March 25. After which the Vigilance seized two sets of all the documents related to the tender process from the Municipal Corporation and also took statements of the employees of the Municipal Corporation. After completing the investigation on Tuesday, the report has been submitted to the High Court. The hearing will be held in the court on Wednesday.
