An encounter is going on between security forces and terrorists in Juthana area of ​​Kathua on Thursday. During the encounter, 4 soldiers including an officer were injured. Reliable sources said that after receiving specific information about the presence of terrorists, the security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation. As soon as the security forces reached the suspected place, heavy firing started on them, after which fierce firing started.

Three soldiers including SDPO Border DYSP Dheeraj Katoch were injured in this encounter. He told that they have been taken to a medical facility for treatment. There is still intermittent firing. Additional security forces have reached the spot.

DGP continuously on the front, said – find and eliminate

Yesterday, a cordon was laid in the forests near Sanyal village of Hiranagar in search of terrorists. DGP Nalin Prabhat remained continuously on the front during the operation. On Wednesday, the DGP held a meeting with police officers and station in-charges and discussed the strategies to crack down on terrorists. He said, find the terrorists and eliminate them.

Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat held a special meeting with the in-charges of police stations of Samba and Kathua districts adjoining the international border at Hiranagar police station on Wednesday evening. In this, in-charges of police stations from Lakhanpur to Vijaypur, officers as well as SOG officers participated. According to sources, he encouraged the police force in the two-hour meeting. He praised the SOG team which gave a befitting reply to the firing of terrorists on Sunday evening. However, he gave tips to the officers on how it could have been done better.

The Director General of Police himself has been involved in this operation since the start of Operation Sanyal. He was constantly present during the operation in Hiranagar. Other top police officers are also keeping an eye on the search operation. In the coming days, the search operation is likely to be extended to other areas as well.

The Director General of Police told the officers that strict vigil should be kept on the routes sensitive from the point of view of infiltration. Along with tightening the noose on the helpers of the terrorists, strict action should be taken.

A terrorist hideout busted

Security forces have busted a terrorist hideout in Baramulla district of North Kashmir. According to a police officer, security forces conducted a search operation in the Nambla forest area of ​​Baramulla on Wednesday. Baramulla Police, Army’s 46 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and Central Reserve Police Force’s 53 battalion personnel were involved in it.

During this, an improvised explosive device (IED), plastic explosives, 104 rounds of AK-47 rifle, two magazines of AK-47, two hand grenades, a combat pouch and two bags were recovered. An FIR has been registered in this regard at Sheri police station.

Security situation reviewed

General Officer Commanding (GOC) of White Knight Corps Lieutenant General Naveen Sachdeva visited Rajouri sector on Wednesday to review the security situation in the area. Lieutenant General Sachdeva held a meeting with the officers at the headquarters of the Counter Insurgency Force i.e. Romeo Force and praised the dedication of the soldiers in anti-terrorism operations. He emphasized on improving relations with the common citizens. He obtained information from the officers about the actions being taken to end terrorism.

After which, on the night of 14 August, the police arrested Manmohan Singh from Kulhal area. During interrogation, Manmohan Singh confessed his crime. He told that he has been addicted to drugs for a long time. He has already gone to jail in drug smuggling and Arms Act cases. On the day of the incident, he had asked his mother for money for drugs. But his mother refused to give him money and also did not let him go out of the house. He fled with the money after the murder After which, Manmohan Singh, in anger, attacked his mother’s neck with a wooden stick kept in the house. Due to which she died on the spot. After the murder, Manmohan Singh wrapped the body in a mattress and set it on fire so that it appeared that the woman died due to burning. Manmohan fled on a motorcycle with 30 thousand rupees kept in the cupboard of the house and his clothes.
