When we go for a trip, the responsibility of cleanliness is not only of the local people, if they have cleaned a city for us, then it is our responsibility to keep that place clean after going there. But the carelessness of many people turns the tourist place into a garbage dump. While people make videos against those who spread garbage, a person has expressed his anger after seeing the piles of garbage in Rishikesh.

Nowadays corporate offsite trips have also started, in such a situation, people ignore their responsibility and spread garbage here and there. We are talking about Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, which is famous for two main things for tourists, one spirituality and the other adventure. People coming here are spreading garbage on the banks of river Ganga and throwing liquor bottles. Let’s know what is posted on social media.

Reprimanded educated people

He wrote – “And this river is Maa Ganga. The river that quenches the thirst of 40 crore Indians every day… and every day some people of Rishikesh have to clean tons of garbage and liquor bottles.” “It has become very common to throw liquor bottles in Maa Ganga after camping and rafting in Rishikesh. Most of these people are educated, work in big multinational companies. They come here in the name of corporate offsite and go away after throwing garbage in Ganga.”

 Government’s efforts are failing
Siddhartha Day urged people that if they cannot respect the environment, it would be better if they don’t come to Rishikesh. Instead, they should not go anywhere and stay at home. People online described the scene as heartbreaking. One man said that in his experience the “most illiterate” people turned out to be those who work in big companies. Despite all the efforts of the government and local people, the Ganges still remains one of the most polluted rivers in the world.
