Uttar Pradesh: After killing four children in Shahjahanpur, the father also committed suicide, the wife had gone to her maternal home

In Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, a man killed his four children and then committed suicide. The incident caused a sensation in the village. SP and other police officers have reached the spot. The matter is being investigated.

The incident is from Manpur village of Roza. Rajiv Kumar killed his four children by slitting their throats with a sickle. After that, he hanged himself from the fan’s hook with a sari noose. Rajiv’s wife had gone to her maternal home a day before. In the morning, when the father reached home from the field, he came to know about the incident.

Daughter-in-law had gone to her maternal home a day before

Rajiv’s father Prithviraj told that his daughter-in-law Kranti had gone to her maternal home in Karauli village of Bareilly Fatehganj East a day before. After two o’clock in the afternoon, he also went to the field to sow sugarcane. When he returned home at around eight o’clock on Thursday morning, the main gate was closed. When there was no response even after calling for a long time, he jumped over the wall and entered inside.

All the children’s necks were cut

The bodies of his granddaughter 12-year-old Kriti, 9-year-old Srishti, 7-year-old Pragati and the fourth 5-year-old Rishabh were lying on the cot in the room. All of them had their necks cut. A rope was lying nearby. Rajiv’s body was hanging from the fan’s hook in the room with a sari noose.

Rajiv was under stress due to a head injury

Prithviraj said that his son had suffered a head injury two years ago. Since then, he would often get under mental stress. He must have committed the crime in such a situation after getting angry over something.

Waiting for the deceased’s wife

SP Rajesh Dwivedi said that the door of the house was locked from inside. The circumstances make it clear that Rajiv himself killed the children and then committed suicide. The deceased’s wife is being awaited. The situation will be clear after that.
