The incident happened late Wednesday night. According to the information received from the police, it was reported that a calf was stolen from the Gurjar colony behind Navodayanagar. The police saw the accused running away. The police chased the accused criminals in a car. The car of the accused got stuck on the roadside kutcha road on Anneki Road. During this, the accused got down from the car and started running.
One accused injured in the encounter
The miscreants opened fire on the police team. In the retaliatory firing, a miscreant got shot in the leg. While his two companions fled towards the forest. Police have recovered cartridges of 315 bore and cash worth one thousand from the possession of the injured. The accused has been identified as Pradeep alias Jumman son Bhullan Singh resident of Saharanpur. The injured has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.
