Uttarakhand: Instructions to issue red corner notice against thug society operators, there is also a possibility of them fleeing the country

There is also a possibility of the directors of Loni Urban Multi State Credit and Thrift Co-operative Society (LUCC), who defrauded crores of people collected in small deposit schemes, fleeing the country. For this, ADG Law and Order V Murugeshan has given instructions to issue a look out circular and red corner notice.

He has also asked to take help of Interpol soon. So that, they can be arrested and strict action can be taken. ADG Murugeshan was reviewing the action taken so far in the cases registered against LUCC at the Police Headquarters on Wednesday. Seven cases have been registered against this society in Dehradun, Uttarkashi and Pauri districts.

Aggarwal used to run 35 branches of the society

The police captains of the districts joined the review meeting through video conferencing. He instructed everyone to expedite the action. The main operator of this society is Sameer Agarwal, a resident of Mumbai. He used to run 35 branches of this society here. Apart from this, Pankaj Agarwal of Madhya Pradesh and Shabab Hussain of Uttar Pradesh are also included.

The ADG said that due to the possibility of them fleeing abroad, Interpol should be contacted as soon as possible. Apart from this, those who are lodged in jails of Uttar Pradesh and other states should be brought to the state on B warrant. Action should be taken to seize their properties to return the money of the investors.

Apart from this, detailed information should also be given to ED, Income Tax Department etc. regarding the accused. The ADG also asked to obtain records from the Registrar of Companies. Also, action should be taken in these cases under the Uttarakhand Protection of Interest of Deposit Act 2005 and Banning of Unregulated Deposit Scheme Act 2019 (Buds Act). So that correspondence can be made to the competent officer to return the money of the investors.
