‘Trump may take over Greenland, Russia will not say anything’, Putin’s statement causes uproar

Since Donald Trump became president again, the relationship between America and Russia seems to be getting sweeter. Many examples of this have been seen in the last two months. Earlier, America’s stance in the case of Ukraine was seen in favor of Russia and now in the case of Greenland, Russia has given the green signal to the American plans.
In fact, a statement has come from Russian President Vladimir Putin, which makes it clear that he has no objection to the US plan to occupy Greenland. Recently, Trump had described this Arctic region as a part of America. At present, this part comes under Denmark. It is an autonomous region, where the entire administrative system, from the Prime Minister to Denmark, is different from Denmark.
What did Putin say?
Putin said on his visit to the Russian city of Murmansk, ‘America’s plans regarding Greenland are serious. These plans have deep historical roots. It is clear that America will continue to systematically pursue its geostrategic, military, political and economic interests in the Arctic region.’ But instead of criticizing or condemning Trump’s expansionist agenda, Putin left Greenland to its fate. President Putin said, ‘As far as Greenland is concerned, it is a matter of two countries (America and Denmark). It has nothing to do with us.’
America withdrawing from Ukraine war
In February itself, the whole world saw a debate between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky in the White House. This debate had crossed all limits. The result was that immediately after this, the US announced to stop all aid to Ukraine. Russia benefited the most from this decision of the Trump administration. However, just before this, the US stance on the resolution passed against Russia for the Ukraine war in the United Nations was shocking. Since then it seemed that America would no longer support Ukraine in this war.
‘America is understanding Russia’s position, this is a good thing’
For the time being, relations between both the countries, America and Russia, seem to be back on track. The statement of Kirill Dmitriev, President Putin’s special envoy for foreign investment and economic cooperation, also gives important indications in this direction. Dmitriev has said that we are ready to consider various investment opportunities that can be done jointly with America. We are ready for investment cooperation in the Arctic. The war in Ukraine needs to end before such deals can be made. We (Russia and America) are now having very good talks and I think it is very important that America is trying to understand Russia’s position.
