According to the police, Neha Upreti (35), a resident of Nawabi Road, was missing from her home since March 26. After a lot of searching, the woman’s family had registered a missing person report when Neha was not found. On Sunday, Neha’s body was recovered from the forest near Kalichoud temple in Kathgodam.
Police engaged in investigation
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the police team reached the spot. The police took the body of the deceased into custody and sent it for post-mortem. According to the police, prima facie the case seems to be a suicide. The real reason will be revealed only after the post-mortem report comes. At present, the investigation of the case is going on.
