Three separate cases registered against Kunal
The Khar police have summoned Kunal Kamra twice since registering an FIR on March 24 based on a complaint by Shiv Sena MLA Murji Patel. Apart from the first FIR, three more cases have been registered against Kunal Kamra in Maharashtra. According to the Mumbai Police, one complaint was filed by the mayor of Jalgaon city, while the other two complaints came from a hotelier and a businessman from Nashik. They were later handed over to the Khar police as the venue of the stand-up show, The Habitat, falls under its jurisdiction.
Kunal refuses to apologize
Kunal, who hails from Tamil Nadu, has been granted interim anticipatory bail by the Madras High Court. At the same time, leaders and workers of Eknath Shinde’s party had threatened him that he would be attacked if he was seen anywhere in a public place. At the same time, Kamra has refused to apologize for his comments and criticized the vandalism at the place where his comedy show was recorded.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena official Rahul Kanal said on Monday that the party has written a letter to Mumbai Police demanding an investigation against Kunal in the case of foreign funding and unaccounted money under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA). He said, ‘People who run away from the law are guilty. When Kunal Kamra comes to Mumbai, he will be welcomed in Shiv Sena style. We will not change our stand, because their stand is also not changing.’
