There was a ruckus in Moradabad when the worshippers were stopped from going to the Idgah ground. When people protested, they had a scuffle with the police. The police said that people were stopped for security reasons as the Idgah was full. Seeing the ruckus, the officers who reached the spot explained to the people and calmed them down.
After this, the namaz was offered again. Other senior officers including the SSP took stock of the entire matter. The administration has appealed to the people to maintain peace. On the other hand, very tight security arrangements have been made at the Idgah for Eid prayers. Police personnel have been deployed from the road to the roof.
DM Anuj Singh and SSP Satpal Antil are keeping an eye on the entire matter. The entire area is being monitored with drones in Sambhal. Additional police personnel have been deployed in the entire area.
Ban on entry of heavy vehicles including buses till 12 noon
Along with making tight security arrangements in the city in view of Eid prayers, the traffic police has prepared a route diversion plan. Entry of all types of heavy vehicles including roadways buses will be banned in the city till 12 noon on Monday. At the same time, there will be a ban on the operation of all types of vehicles on Idgah Road and the roads around it.
SP Traffic Subhash Chandra Gangwar said that route diversion has been implemented from 6 am on Monday. Policemen have been deployed by putting up barriers at various places in the city to stop vehicles. People will be able to go towards Idgah on foot from Sambhal intersection. Traffic will become normal after 12 noon.
