Uttarakhand: More than 100 people fell sick after eating buckwheat flour, know where it was supplied from

More than 100 people have fallen ill after eating kuttu ka atta in Dehradun. Let us tell you that all these people have complained of food poisoning. All the patients have been admitted to Doon Hospital and Coronation Hospital for treatment. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat inquired about the condition of all the patients. Also, CM Dhami has directed the Health Secretary to investigate.

Raid campaign continues

After the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the police have registered a case against the guilty wholesaler under serious sections. Stock is also being seized from the shops of Dehradun. The police and administration team are continuously conducting raids in shops and stores. All such food items are also being seized. In which there is a possibility of adulteration.

The main supplier’s warehouse is in Saharanpur

The primary investigation so far has revealed that the main supplier of kuttu atta is a resident of Saharanpur. A police team has been formed from Dehradun and sent to Saharanpur so that action can be taken against the supplier’s warehouse. Meanwhile, officials of the Food Safety Department along with the Kotwali police inspected the firm at several places in Morganj, Saharanpur. It is being told that the firm is fake. However, the investigation is still going on.

DM assigned responsibility to officials

DM Savin Bansal has given the responsibility to the officials to take care of the patients admitted in the hospital who fell ill after eating buckwheat flour. The District Magistrate has given the responsibility of Government Doon Medical College to City Magistrate Pratyush Kumar. SDM Kumkum Joshi has been given the responsibility of Coronation Hospital. Apart from this, SDM Har Giri has been given the responsibility of Mahant Indresh Hospital.
