Police has busted prostitution racket running under the guise of a gym in Roorkee’s Piran Kaliyar. It is said that prostitution racket was being run here under the guise of a health club. Police has arrested 4 women and 5 men from the spot.

Haridwar SSP Pramod Dobhal had given instructions to take strict action against those involved in prostitution. In this sequence, a joint police team of Kaliyar police station and AHTU raided the prostitution racket running under the guise of a health club in the holy religious place Piran Kaliyar on the basis of secret information.
Four women and five men arrested
SP Rural Shekhar Chandra Suyal informed that in this operation conducted yesterday, the joint team raided Bobby Health Club and detained four women and five men from the health club with objectionable material. A case has been registered against all the accused under the relevant sections.
Prostitution was going on under the guise of a gym
SP Rural said that two accused are absconding. Their search is on. Action is also being taken against the gym operator. According to the police, a gang was running illegal prostitution business under the guise of a gym for a long time. In the name of earning money, poor women and girls were brought from outside and forced to do prostitution, spoiling the dignity and atmosphere of the holy religious place.
