Uttarakhand: Responsibility given to four secretaries for the arrangements of Chardham Yatra, the secretaries will visit and do on-site inspection

The Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra is starting from 30th April. In view of which the concerned departments are engaged in the exercise of completing the preparations. In this sequence, the Uttarakhand government has assigned the responsibility of visiting and inspecting the site to improve the arrangements for the Chardham Yatra to all the secretaries.

Administration busy in preparations for Chardham

In fact, after taking over as the Chief Secretary, Anand Bardhan held the first Secretary Committee meeting in the Secretariat on Tuesday. During the meeting, the Chief Secretary directed all the departments to increase the revenue in accordance with the budget provision. Along with this, the Chief Secretary asked the departments to prepare their annual action plan in advance with efforts to increase expenditure on capital items.

Also gave instructions to set targets for every month. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary reviewed the status of income-expenditure, achievement of targets for the financial year 2024-25. He has given clear instructions to the departments that the departments should keep the proposals for the coming financial year ready in advance. Along with this, instructions have also been given to prepare a shelf of projects by identifying the projects related to infrastructure development to be approved under all the projects and schemes.

Work on proposals to start soon

Instructing to do it through Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) Gati Shakti Portal, Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan gave strict instructions to the departments to constantly update their proposals on the Gati Shakti Portal. On the instructions of the Chief Secretary, all activities from the formation of projects to its implementation will be done through the Gati Shakti Portal. The Chief Secretary has instructed the concerned officers to prepare the proposals completely before they appear in the cabinet and send them within the stipulated time. Along with this, the CS has instructed that the land bank should be kept ready, so that work on the proposals can be started as soon as possible.

Instructions to fix the arrangements on time

Chief Secretary Anand Bardhan has fixed the responsibility of the secretary level officers regarding the foolproof arrangements for the Chardham Yatra. Along with this, instructions have been given that in view of the upcoming travel season, all the departments have to complete their preparations on time from now onwards. He has instructed to assess all the needs on the Yatra route and make all arrangements right before the Yatra begins.
