Israel continued bombing Gaza throughout the night, 19 people died, dozens injured

Gaza’s civil defense agency said on Tuesday that at least 19 people were killed overnight in Israeli attacks in the Palestinian territory. Israel is continuously attacking. Civil Defense Spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal told AFP that “19 civilians, including several children, were martyred” and dozens others were injured in the new Israeli attacks.

Situation critical in Gaza

Basal said that five children and four soldiers were killed in an attack on a house in Der al-Balah, while a total of 10 people were killed in two separate attacks before dawn in Gaza City and Beit Lahiya in the north. Along with this, one person was killed in an attack on a journalist’s camp in Khan Younis area. The Hamas government’s media office said on Monday that in the same attack, journalist Hilmi al-Faqawi, working for a local news agency, was killed, and nine others were injured.

What did Israel say?

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said the target of the attack was Hamas terrorist Hassan Abdel Fattah Mohammed Aslih, and claimed that he worked under the guise of a journalist and owns a press company. It said that Aslih had infiltrated Israeli territory and participated in the massacre carried out by the Hamas terrorist organization on October 7, 2023.

Two-month ceasefire ends

Israel resumed rapid attacks on the Gaza Strip on March 18, ending a two-month ceasefire with Hamas. Attempts to restore the ceasefire have so far been unsuccessful. According to reports, 1391 Palestinians have lost their lives since the ceasefire ended. The death toll has reached 50,752.
