Uttarakhand: Now science classes will reach every village, CM Dhami flagged off ‘Lab on Wheels’ for nine districts

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has gifted 9 mobile science labs to the students studying in government schools of the state through Lab on Wheels. The Chief Minister observed the science models of the mobile science lab in the camp office premises. Also, 9 mobile science labs were flagged off.

CM Dhami flagged off ‘Lab on Wheels’ for nine districts

UCOST Director General Professor Durgesh Pant said that in the first phase, Lab on Wheels was successfully operated in Champawat, Almora, Dehradun and Pauri. The CM said that in view of its good results, Lab on Wheels was launched today in the remaining districts of the state. Prof Pant said that through the ambitious project of the state government, Uttarakhand State Council of Science and Technology (UCOST) is working to popularize science in the remote areas of the state and promote science communication activities.

Earlier, the gift was given to four districts

Under the project, students of classes six to ten of the state are being given the opportunity to learn and understand the syllabus of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics better through laboratories, practical models, science activities and demonstrations. Prof Pant said that this is the second phase of the project in the state, under which it is being done in the remaining nine districts Uttarkashi, Tehri, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh. Let us tell you that last year CM Dhami had flagged off the mobile science lab for four districts of the state.
