Tourism and Religious Affairs Minister Satpal Maharaj said, strict action will be taken against those black marketing Kedarnath heli tickets. He asked the officials to stop black marketing of tickets and complete all the preparations for the Char Dham Yatra on time.

Maharaj said, 16 lakh passengers have registered for the Char Dham Yatra so far. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the passengers to visit the four Dhams. He said strict action will be taken against black marketing of Kedarnath heli tickets and arbitrary parking charges on the Yatra routes.

For the preparations of the Yatra, an amount of Rs 25 lakh has been released to the Garhwal Commissioner, Rs 1 crore each to Haridwar, Tehri and Dehradun district administration, Rs 50 lakh to Pauri, and Rs 3 crore each to Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi district administration.

Special attention has been paid to cleanliness and toilet arrangements on the Yatra routes. 782 lakhs were paid to Sulabh International for cleaning and maintenance of steel frame toilets from Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Uttarkashi and Janaki Chatti barrier to Yamunotri route. 1584 seats have been arranged in 147 permanent toilets on the travel routes.

Maharaj said, a state level control room has been set up at the headquarters of Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council. Which is operational 24 hours. The department has operated helpline number 0135-1364 for the convenience of the passengers. Apart from this, helpline number can be obtained from 0135-2552627, 2559898. The Transport Department has arranged 2000 buses in Rishikesh, 600 buses in Haridwar and 100 buses in Herbertpur.
