This case is of Monash IVF clinic. The hospital has admitted its mistake.

How did the mistake happen?

According to Monash IVF, this mistake came to light in February, when the clinic came to know that the sperm of the parents who gave birth to the child was lying in storage with them. Investigation revealed that the sperm of another person was mistakenly melted and injected into this woman. According to Australian media, the child was born in 2024.

Statement of the clinic

Monash IVF, which is one of Australia’s largest IVF providers. He said that no other such mistake has come to light in the initial investigation. The company did not give any information about the identity of the patients or the custody of the child. Monash IVF CEO Michael Nap said, ‘We are all very saddened by this incident. We apologize to all those affected. We will do everything we can to support patients during this extremely distressing time.” The clinic said it was a “human error”.
