Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the state government has managed to bring down the unemployment rate by a record 4.4 percent. We have also surpassed the national average. In the last three years, our government has given 22 thousand government jobs. One District, Two Products Scheme is increasing local livelihood opportunities. Through the “House of Himalayas” brand, our traditional products are getting wide recognition at the national and international level. Initiatives like ‘State Millet Mission’, ‘Farm Machinery Bank’, ‘Apple Mission’, ‘New Tourism Policy’, ‘New Film Policy’, ‘Home Stay’, ‘Wade in Uttarakhand’ and ‘Solar Self-Employment Scheme’ are strengthening the local economy of the state.
Dhami was addressing the students from across the state at the closing ceremony of the fourth edition of Oho Hill Yatra ‘Rajat Se Swarn Ki Aur’ organized at the Chief Servant Sadan located at the Chief Minister’s residence. He said that along with celebrating the silver jubilee year of the establishment of the state of Uttarakhand, it is moving forward with the resolve to make its state a leader in every field. If every citizen of the state contributes in his/her field with full devotion, dedication and honesty, then no power can stop Uttarakhand from becoming a developed, self-reliant and prosperous state.
The state government has a big responsibility to organize the grand and historic Nanda Devi Yatra in the year 2026 and Kumbh in 2027. For this, we have to start preparing from now. In three years, our state has achieved many remarkable achievements. These decisions are becoming a model for the country. On this occasion, Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari, Director SOA Ravi Bhatnagar, students, parents, teachers from all over the state were present.
