A small plane crashed in South Florida on Friday morning. Three people died and one person was injured in this incident. Officials gave this information. They said that the plane fell near a major interstate highway and railway tracks at around 10:15 am. The Federal Aviation Administration has identified the plane as a Cessna 310. A senior official of the Boca Raton Fire Department said that all three people on board the plane died in this accident and one person was injured when the plane fell to the ground. Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer said that the incident is being investigated.
This incident happened when a helicopter crashed in New York on Thursday. A helicopter used for tourism broke into two pieces in the air during flight on Thursday and fell into the Hudson River. In this accident, the pilot and the Spanish executive officer of Siemens Company, his wife and three children on board the helicopter died. Officials gave this information. An official associated with the investigation told the Associated Press that apart from the pilot, the deceased include well-known company Siemens’ Executive Officer (EO) Augustin Escobar, his wife Merce Camprubi Montal and three children.
18 minutes of flight and then crash
In the pictures released on the helicopter company’s website, the couple and their children are seen smiling while boarding the helicopter. New York Mayor Eric Adams said that the bodies have been removed from the water. The helicopter flew north in Manhattan and then towards the ‘Statue of Liberty’ for less than 18 minutes. Some videos of the accident have surfaced in which some parts of the helicopter were seen jumping in the air and falling into the water near the coast of Jersey City, New Jersey.
Smoke was coming out of the helicopter
An eyewitness present there, Bruce Wall, said that he saw the plane ‘breaking into two’ in the air, in which the ‘tail’ and ‘propeller’ got separated. Leslie Camacho, the owner of a riverside restaurant in Hoboken, New Jersey, said the helicopter was spinning out of control and “smoke was coming out” before it fell into the water. Officials said the flight was operated by “New York Helicopters.” Attempts were made to contact the company’s offices in New York and New Jersey but there was no answer from there.
Company owner Michael Roth told the “New York Post” that he was extremely sad and had no idea why the accident happened. The Federal Aviation Administration has identified the helicopter as “Bell 206”. This model of helicopter is widely used commercially and governmentally. Apart from this, tourism companies, TV channels and police forces also use helicopters of this model.
