‘The ball is in China’s court’, America said on tariff dispute – not us… Xi Jinping needs to compromise with us

There is an atmosphere of tension between China and America on the tariff issue. In response to Trump’s tariff, China has also imposed 125 percent duty on American goods. Meanwhile, on Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt answered questions related to China. After the tariff dispute, the TikTok deal also seems to be in trouble.
Meanwhile, the Trump administration has given TikTok permission to operate in the US till June 19. When the White House Press Secretary was asked what would happen if China is not ready for talks, Levitt said that two months is enough. I do not want to proceed further. The Vice President is leading these talks and negotiations. The President is also involved in this.
China needs to compromise with us
When asked whether Trump would reduce tariffs on China to do the TikTok deal, Levitt said that the President’s position on China is very clear. He shared a statement by Donald Trump and said that Trump had told me in the Oval Office that the ball is in China’s court. China needs to compromise with us. We don’t need to compromise with them.
China wants our money
Levitt said that there is no difference between China and any other country except being big. China wants what we have… every country wants the same. These are American consumers. In other words, they want our money. Levitt said that President Donald Trump is ready to compromise with China. But China will also have to compromise with America.
Trump wants to sign the deal
When Levitt was asked about the trade agreements and which deals are being negotiated, he said that the US trade ambassador, commerce secretary and treasury secretary have done a commendable job. All of them are working hard to complete a good trade agreement. President Trump is also showing great interest in these trade agreements. He has made it clear to his trade team that he wants to sign all these deals.
More than 15 trade agreements were signed
Levitt said that we have done more than 15 trade deals. The proposals are being actively considered. More than 75 countries have approached us on trade agreements. There is still a lot of work to be done. He expressed hope that some deals would be announced very soon.
