Uttarakhand: Dhami cabinet approved 25 proposals, financial power of officers increased for disaster recovery and reconstruction, DM’s power increased to 1 crore

A cabinet meeting was held in the secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The meeting held in the secretariat after about 2 months was very important in many ways. 25 proposals related to public interest were approved in the meeting. The meeting started at 6:25 pm and lasted for about 4 hours.
These 25 proposals were approved in the meeting-
- Uttarakhand Kiwi Policy approved: At present, 381 metric tonnes of kiwi is being produced in an area of 682 hectares. In such a situation, under this policy, it is proposed to increase the area to 3500 and production to 33 thousand metric tonnes from 2025-26 to 2030-31. The standard in this scheme will be Rs 12 lakh per acre. Also, subsidy of 50 to 70 percent will be given by the state government.
- Amendment was made in the Chief Minister Micro Food Enterprise Upgradation Scheme.
- Management plan after apple harvesting got approval in the state. Provision of subsidy has been made in it.
- Dragon Fruit Farming Scheme got approval. Under this scheme, subsidy of up to 80 percent will be available. A target has been set to cultivate dragon fruit on 282 acres of land in the next 5 years. Which will benefit about 450 farmers.
- Amendment was made in Uttarakhand State Millet Policy 2025-26.
Instructor will be appointed for the promotion of Sanskrit language
At the same time, in the cabinet meeting, one village in all the districts of the state will be declared as Sanskrit village. Where an instructor will be appointed for the next three years for the promotion of Sanskrit language. Who will be given a salary of 20 thousand rupees. Also, the employees of the accounting cadre working in all the departments will come under the Accounts and Entitlement Department. The Director of the Accounts and Entitlement Department will be the director of all the accounting cadre employees, the proposal was also passed.
- Apart from this, the Government of India has increased the amount of drinking water scheme for semi-urban areas funded by the World Bank. Which was approved by the Cabinet.
- Stamp duty for registration between promoters developing residential colonies and Resident Welfare Association was fixed at Rs 10,000.
- Uttarakhand State Science Education and Research Center will be adjusted in Uttarakhand State Science and Technology Council.
- The cabinet agreed to make Shirolikala, Udham Singh Nagar a municipality.
- The structure of Uttarakhand Housing and Development Council was amended.
- Additional Commissioner FDA will be able to become Drug Controller in Food Safety and Drug Administration.
- A proposal came regarding the notification of flood filling zone from Shikharfall to Mothorowala Sangam on the banks of Rispana river in Dehradun. Which was approved by the cabinet.
Sub Registrar declared for marriage and divorce in UCC
At the same time, the pay scale of model assistant in the scientific cadre of Irrigation Department was increased. Apart from this, the service rules of the Irrigation Department were amended. Amendments were made in the Uttarakhand Private Security Agency Amendment Rules. The adjournment of the fifth assembly was approved. The sub-registrars of the Stamp and Registration Department were working only for bills. But now they have been declared sub-registrars for marriage and divorce in UCC as well.
- If a government employee working in a clean profession dies or becomes disabled, his children will also be given scholarship.
- Children from class one to class 12 will get free notebooks. It will be implemented from this year.
- Amendments were made in the structure of the Information Technology Department.
- The tenure of the Mega Industrial Investment Policy was extended till June 2025.
- Approval was given to adopt the University Grants Commission Act 2018 in Uttarakhand Sanskrit University Haridwar.
Financial powers of DM and Commissioner increased
In the meeting, the financial powers of the officers were increased for recovery and reconstruction in disaster. The power of DM was increased from 20 lakh to 1 crore rupees. The power of Divisional Commissioner has been increased from 20 to 50 lakh to 1 to 5 crore rupees. A new policy was brought for the cadre secretary of PACS. An agreement was reached to give 11 hectares of land free of cost to the Airport Authority for the expansion of the proposed Greenfield Airport at Pantnagar in Udham Singh Nagar district.
