Under the Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway project, the T-8 and T-8M tunnels being built between Devprayag and Janasu in Pauri became a breakthrough today. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav was also present on this occasion. Earlier, the Union Minister also visited the first station of the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line, Yoga Nagari.
After seeing the arrangements here, he also looked at the quality of the food items available at the stalls. He also bought tea from the tea stall on the spot and drank it. Not only this, he also made the payment of tea online to the tea stall operator. After which he went to see the construction work of the tunnel at various places till Kirti Nagar.
During this, he also sought the report of the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line progress from the RVNL officials. At present, the Railway Minister seemed satisfied with the progress. Talking to the media, he said that this project is an ambitious plan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. By bringing this scheme to Uttarakhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the world famous Char Dhams of Uttarakhand more famous in the country and the world. Devotees from all over the world want to come to Uttarakhand for easy Char Dham Yatra. This scheme will work to attract those crores of devotees more towards Uttarakhand.
Ashwini Vaishnav has also shared some pictures of Yoga Nagari Railway Station while posting on Instagram. Along with this, he has also told in a post that, ‘Railways were started in India 172 years ago on 16 April 1853. On that day, at 3:35 pm, a train of 14 coaches left for Thane for the first time from Bori Bunder in Maharashtra with a 21-gun salute.
