Uttarakhand: Dengue and Chikungunya cases have started scaring, Health Minister directed CMO

As the weather changes, diseases have also started knocking. Dengue and Chikungunya have started spreading in Dehradun. In such a situation, the health department is claiming to have completed the preparations. At the same time, Health Minister Dhan Singh Rawat has also instructed the subordinate officers.

Uttarakhand Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat has instructed the concerned officials to prepare a micro plan at the district level regarding the prevention of dengue. Along with this, he has also asked to coordinate with other departments and focus on dengue-prone or affected areas. Dhan Singh Rawat held a special meeting in the Directorate General of Health regarding the prevention of dengue and chikungunya. He told the health department officials that private hospitals in Uttarakhand will also have to compulsorily register the information of dengue patients in the IDSP portal of the Government of India. Which will be monitored by the CMOs of the respective districts.

The Chief Medical Officers of the five dengue-sensitive districts Dehradun, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital and Pauri have also been told that the officers should coordinate with the line departments and speed up the public awareness campaign. For this, teams of volunteers should be sent to hotspot areas. Apart from this, he has also asked the departmental officials to pay attention to the fact that the private pathology labs testing dengue in the state should also use only the test kits authorized by the Central Government. Regarding this, all CMOs should issue necessary guidelines to the private labs located in their districts.

19 dengue positive cases have been found in Dehradun district in the month of April. Yesterday, 55 samples of suspected dengue patients were collected. In which dengue was confirmed in three patients, dengue has been confirmed in one positive patient in Dehradun, one in Haridwar and one in Saharanpur. So far 968 samples have been collected. According to the report of the Health Department, no patient has died of dengue so far.
