These days, there is a discussion about the Waqf law across the country. In Uttarakhand too, this issue has taken a political turn… On one hand, CM Dhami is telling the benefits of the new Waqf law, while the Congress has raised questions on the property of Badri-Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC).
CM Dhami is counting the merits of the new Waqf law
These days, there is a discussion about the new Waqf law across the country. After the debate from the road to the House, the matter has reached the Supreme Court. On the one hand, the BJP is calling it in the interest of the country, while the opposition party is calling it a violation of the rights of the Muslim community. The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, who participated in the workshop held in Dehradun regarding the new Waqf law, told the merits of the Waqf Amendment Act. At the same time, Congress’s Mangalore MLA Qazi Nizamuddin questioned the intention of the government and raised questions on the property of BKTC.
Congress surrounded the government
Qazi Nizamuddin says that the way BJP is worrying about Waqf properties, is it also worried about the lands of all the prestigious institutions of Hindus being encroached or not? Qazi Nizamuddin has raised questions about the property of Badri-Kedar Temple Committee. Along with that, he has surrounded the Dhami government. The Congress MLA alleged that BKTC’s land worth lakhs of crores is occupied, but despite having a double engine government, Badri-Kedar Temple Committee has not been able to bring these lands under its control.
CM Dhami reacted
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has reacted to this statement of Mangalore MLA Qazi Nizamuddin. The Chief Minister has said that the state government is taking action on all the encroachment cases in the state. Everyone should have the habit of living according to the law within the state.
