Saas-bahu cell will be set up in every district of Uttarakhand – Kusum Kandwal

Uttarakhand State Women Commission will establish Saas-Bahu Cell in every district in Uttarakhand. Chairperson Kusum Kandwal said that the responsibility of the commission is to protect the safety of women and their rights. The commission is monitoring in every district for women’s safety and empowerment. In this, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law will get the facility of counseling. This cell will be named ‘Tere Mere Sapne’. This decision was taken in the board meeting held at the commission headquarters on Saturday. This cell (unit) will make efforts to counsel mother-in-law and daughter-in-law before marriage, so that there is no dispute in the families after marriage.

Awareness programs will also be run for this. Along with this, a proposal to open two smart one stop centers in every district was also passed in the meeting. Chairperson Kusum Kandwal said that the responsibility of the commission is to protect the safety of women and their rights.

The commission is monitoring in every district for women’s safety and empowerment. In the meeting, it was decided to organize various types of awareness programs and meetings including camps, legal workshops, public hearings to make women aware.
