Military cooperation between India and Greece has increased
The participation of the Indian Air Force reflects India’s commitment to strengthen defense relations and interoperability in the region and with friendly countries. Recently, the Sukhoi fighter jets of the Indian Air Force have returned home after participating in the Ineocos-2025 exercise held in Greece. Apart from India and Greece, the air forces of a total of 15 countries including the US, France, Israel, Italy and UAE participated in the Ineocos exercise held in the Mediterranean region.
Military cooperation between India and Greece has increased significantly in recent years. Last year (August-September 2024), the Hellenic Air Force reached Jodhpur (Rajasthan) to participate in the Indian Air Force’s multi-national exercise Tarang-Shakti. During this time, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi also visited Greece on a four-day visit and met the Hellenic National Defense and Fleet Commanders. He also visited the Greek naval base and warship.
