Before the Chardham Yatra, the hill districts have got 45 specialist doctors. The state government has appointed these specialist doctors after doing PG course. In this regard, Secretary Health Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar issued orders.
The Health Department has deployed specialist doctors in district hospitals, sub-district hospitals and community health centers. These include specialist doctors of surgery, gynecology and obstetrics, anesthesia, pediatrics, ophthalmology, ENT, forensic medicine and general medicine. Health Secretary Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar said, the state government is constantly trying to strengthen health services.
In view of the shortage of specialist doctors in the state, doctors were sent by the department to do PG. After completion of PG course, specialist doctors were deployed in hill districts. This will improve emergency services to general treatment in the districts.
He instructed all the doctors to take charge soon at the new place of posting. If any specialist doctor does not take charge on time, action will be taken against him.
