Uttarakhand: Facilities increased for Chardham Yatra pilgrims, special arrangements made from parking to cleaning

This year, facilities have been further improved for the devotees visiting Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham. From parking to cleanliness, special attention has been given to every aspect so that the passengers do not face any kind of inconvenience and they can complete their journey with full devotion.

The district administration has made extensive preparations for the safe and successful conduct of Chardham Yatra 2025. Uttarkashi District Magistrate Dr. Meherban Singh Bisht said that this time toilets, parking and traffic management have been given top priority on the Yatra route. Parking facilities have been strengthened at major places like Kharsali, Janaki Chatti, Barkot and Naugaon on the Yamunotri Highway.

The DM said that this will provide the facility of parking the vehicles of the passengers in a safe and easy manner and the traffic system will also remain smooth. At the same time, surface parking has been prepared at Heena on the Gangotri Highway, multi-story parking at Uttarkashi Headquarters and Gangotri. Along with this, surface parking spaces have also been expanded in areas like Ramlila Maidan, Joshiyada and Bandarkot, so that traffic pressure can be reduced.

Basic facilities improved on the travel routes
Uttarkashi informed that basic facilities like electricity, water and toilets have been completely improved on the travel routes. Especially in Janaki Chatti, toilets equipped with modern technology have been constructed, which will not only maintain cleanliness but will also provide convenience to the pilgrims. This time smart toilet complexes are being operated at eight places in the Chardham Yatra.
