Uttarakhand: Harda called Mahendra Bhatt’s appeal a ‘slap on the face of the government’, BJP government once again surrounded on the issue of illegal mining!

b
These days, the issue of illegal mining is dominating the politics of Uttarakhand. Recently, a video of BJP MLA from Vikasnagar Munna Singh Chauhan surfaced, in which he is seen raising questions on the police regarding illegal mining in his area. Earlier, the former CM of the state and BJP MP from Haridwar have also raised the issue of illegal mining in the Lok Sabha. This is the reason that now the Congress has again got a chance to corner the BJP government on illegal mining. In this matter, Congress state president Karan Mahara and former CM Harish Rawat fiercely lashed out at the BJP.
Uttarakhand Congress state president Karan Mahara said that the BJP MLAs are already worried about the kind of image the BJP is building in the 2027 assembly elections. Today, even the common man of the state has started talking about mining. There is no such river left in the state, in which Pokland and JCB are not visible. Now even at tea shops, there is talk of illegal mining going on unhindered in the state.
Karan Mahara said that the government has given all the rights to its favourite person, including giving mining permits. The situation in the state is bad. The BJP government of the state has snatched the rights of those who repair their homes by taking a few sacks of sand from the rivers.
Former BJP Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat has raised the issue of illegal mining in Parliament twice, but nothing happened in this direction, rather the leaders of Delhi came here and patted the Chief Minister on the back. Now BJP MLA Munna Singh Chauhan has caught a tractor-trolley of illegal mining in his area. Congress has also staged a sit-in protest against illegal mining in Vikasnagar a year ago, but the government is not bothered.

Apart from Karan Mahara, senior Congress leader and former CM Harish Rawat also cornered the government on the issue of illegal mining. He also reacted to the statement of BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt, in which Bhatt is saying that if mining theft takes place somewhere, then what wrong did MLA Munna Singh Chauhan do by stopping it? Mahendra Bhatt has appealed to all BJP MLAs that if mining theft takes place anywhere, then efforts should be made to stop such cases.
On this statement of Mahendra Bhatt, Harish Rawat said that he is unable to understand whether this is BJP’s drama or is it really a pain. An MLA stops for an hour and talks about stopping mining and asks the officer where are you? From this, one can guess how rampant mining is taking place. Then the ruling party i.e. BJP’s state president says that all his MLAs will set this ideal and stop illegal mining, because the opposition is not able to stop it.
Responding to Mahendra Bhatt’s question, Harish Rawat said that the opposition can only raise its voice, it will not take the law in its own hands. Congress is constantly saying that BJP is a government of loot and exemption.
The issue of illegal mining in Uttarakhand is raised in the Parliament, but the government remains silent. After the statement of BJP state president Mahendra Bhatt, action should now be taken against those responsible for illegal mining. BJP state president Mahendra has to tell his own MLAs to stop illegal mining at various places. This is a slap on the face of the government.
