Uttarakhand: Lakhs of rupees were defrauded on the pretext of giving job in army, dismissed soldier arrested from Delhi

Pauri police has arrested a person from Delhi who cheated people by promising them jobs in the army. The accused used to cheat unemployed people of lakhs of rupees in the name of getting them recruited in the army.

Fraud of lakhs in the name of getting them recruited in the army

On February 13, Brijmohan Singh, resident of Lansdowne, gave a complaint to the police regarding the matter. In which he told that Manoj Chhetri, resident of Dehradun, has cheated him of more than 2 lakh 90 thousand in the name of getting his nephew a job. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case against the accused and started investigating the matter.

The accused was dismissed from the army

Police investigation revealed that the accused is a vicious criminal. Who was recruited in the Gorkha Regiment in the year 2013. The accused had cheated many people there by promising them jobs in the army and defrauded them of a huge amount. Due to which the accused was dismissed by the army in the year 2022.

Police sent the accused to jail

The police team investigating the case arrested the accused Manoj Chhetri from Delhi with the help of electronic surveillance. The police is gathering information regarding the criminal history of the accused. The police has sent the accused to jail after presenting him in the court and taking necessary legal action.
