International Cricket Council chairman Jay Shah reached Parmarth Niketan Rishikesh on 5 May with his family. His wife Rishita Patel and mother Sonal Amit Shah also arrived with him. The Shah family participated in Ganga Aarti with Parmarth Niketan president Swami Chidananda Saraswati and experienced the spiritual, environmental journey of Parmarth.
On Monday evening, Jay Shah along with his family performed the Aarti of Maa Ganga at Parmarth Niketan. Swami Chidananda Saraswati welcomed the Shah family at Parmarth Niketan and presented them with a Rudraksh plant, the green gift of the Himalayas. Swami Chidananda Saraswati said that when nation building and spiritual consciousness go together, development in the country is sustainable, balanced and empowered. Today India has such a leadership that is moving forward by imbibing spiritual values and maintaining a balance between modernity and culture.
