On Monday, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals (SRH vs DC) played a match in IPL 2025. Where Hyderabad’s dream of reaching the playoffs was shattered. The 55th match was canceled due to rain. Batting first, Delhi’s team put 133 runs on the board for the loss of seven wickets. This score was very small in front of Hyderabad’s batting.

But the rain spoiled the game. After the match was canceled, both the teams were given one point each. Talking about the points table, Delhi has 13 points in 11 matches so far. On the other hand, Hyderabad is in 9th place with seven points. Hyderabad’s hopes of playoffs are now completely over.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the toss and decided to bowl first. SRH took wickets in the beginning of Delhi’s team, which came to bat first, and put the team on the backfoot. Pat Cummins took three wickets on the first ball of the first three overs. After which the sequence of wickets falling did not stop. Due to which Delhi had to bring Ashutosh as an impact sub.

The top order of Delhi Capitals fell like a pack of cards in front of SRH’s bowling. Apart from Ashutosh (41) and Tristan Stubbs (41 not out), no batsman could play well.

Karun Nair (0), Faf du Plessis (3), Abhishek Porel (8), KL Rahul (10), captain Axar Patel (6) and Vipraj Nigam (18) returned to the pavilion after scoring runs. All these wickets fell within 62 runs. Pat Cummins and Harshal Patel bowled brilliantly from Hyderabad.

Due to the cancellation of the match, Hyderabad has only seven points in 11 matches. Even if they win the last three matches, the team will still have only 13 points. Already four teams have 14 or more points. In such a situation, SRH’s journey ended here.
