Congress has raised questions on the appointment of the President and Vice Presidents of Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC). Congress spokesperson Garima Dasauni said that what is the compulsion of the BJP government that it is making a mistake in the selection of the President of a dignified institution like Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee. At the same time, Hemant Dwivedi has also responded to the questions of the Congress.
Congress raised questions on the appointment
While addressing a press conference at the Congress state headquarters in Dehradun on Monday, Garima Dasauni said that the post of President of BKTC was lying vacant for a long time. The appointment to this post should have been done in time. The date of the Yatra and opening of the doors of the four Dhams had also been formally announced, but the President of BKTC could not be selected. After the commencement of the Yatra, the state government hurriedly announced the President and two Vice Presidents of BKTC. In such a situation, it is beyond understanding why two Vice Presidents are needed in BKTC? Because two Vice Presidents mean additional financial burden on the state.
At the same time, raising questions on the newly appointed BKTC President Hemant Dwivedi, Dasauni said that in the whole of Uttarakhand, Dhami government found Hemant Dwivedi to be the most capable as the President of BKTC, whose appointment as the Chairman of Tarai Seed Corporation in the Nishank government was controversial and Dwivedi was accused of scams worth crores. Dasauni said that Haldwani resident Jagmeet Singh has written a complaint letter to the Superintendent of Police Nainital and registered a case of fraud committed against him by Hemant Dwivedi.
Congress told this case
In the press conference on behalf of Congress, it was told that the matter is of 2020, when Jagmeet Singh was shown a plot registered in the name of Hemant Dwivedi’s wife Vijaya Dwivedi. The deal was fixed for 6 crores. A registered agreement was also done. On different dates, Jagmeet also deposited crores of rupees in the account mentioned by Hemant Dwivedi, but on the day of registration, Hemant Dwivedi did not come. Since then, despite repeated attempts to contact him, Jagmeet Singh could not contact Hemant Dwivedi. Then Jagmeet Singh handed over the entire case and documents to the Police Inspector Nainital. But due to Hemant Dwivedi’s high reach, even after 5 years, Jagmeet has not been able to get justice.
Garima said that it is the misfortune of the state of Uttarakhand that the temple committee is not able to get a president according to the dignity, tradition and belief of our Dhams. Taking the government to task, Dasauni said that as high is the name and importance of our Kedarnath and Badrinath, the president of its committee should also have the same high conduct, character and face.
Hemant Dwivedi gave a reply
At the same time, the newly appointed president of Badrinath Kedarnath Temple Committee, Hemant Dwivedi, has responded to all these allegations. Dwivedi says that his image is being tarnished under a complete conspiracy. He questioned the Congress leaders making the allegations that if there was any case against them, then how did it suddenly come to light today?
On the allegations of Congress, Hemant Dwivedi has said that he will take legal action in this matter and will respond to the allegations being made against him in a legal manner. Action will also be taken against the efforts being made to tarnish his image.
