Uttarakhand: Female police officer accused of blackmailing CO, sent to jail on wife’s complaint, this is the whole case

A strange case is in the headlines in the police department of Uttarakhand. A complaint has been lodged against a female dog handler for threatening and blackmailing the CO posted in the department and also sending indecent and threatening WhatsApp messages and phone calls to his CO wife. After the complaint, the female dog handler has been arrested and sent to jail.

Female policeman accused of blackmailing CO: The wife of the CO of the department has accused the female dog handler of blackmailing her husband and extorting Rs 6 lakh. The CO’s wife is posted in a hilly district. On her complaint, the police have registered a case in Kotwali Cantt and arrested the female dog handler and sent her to jail. Action is also being taken by SAP to suspend her.

CO’s Deputy Superintendent of Police wife made these allegations: The female CO had lodged a complaint that she is currently posted in a hilly district. On 16 November 2024, two voice recording messages were sent to her personal mobile number from an unknown number (which have not been heard till now). After that on 17 November 2024, many indecent and abusive WhatsApp messages were sent to her mobile from the same number. At that time, the woman CO was very busy with her wedding ceremony at her house in Panditwadi. During this time, a woman called her. The woman also told her name. It is alleged that during this time the woman who called started abusing the woman CO. Death threats were also given on the phone. The woman Deputy Superintendent did not pay attention to this at that time due to the wedding preparations.

Allegation of giving threats on WhatsApp: After that, on 5 January 2025, an acquaintance sent a screenshot of Facebook to the woman CO. The name of the threatening woman was written on this screenshot. In it, the woman had written about suicide and held him responsible for the death. The woman Deputy Superintendent talked to her Deputy Superintendent of Police husband about this. Her husband told that from June 2022 to July 2022, he talked to that woman on WhatsApp for a month. Then after August, due to her strange behavior, the husband stopped talking.

Also accused of taking Rs 6 lakh on blackmail: The woman CO told that the accused woman sent one-sided messages to her husband for 2 years, which were very indecent and obscene. Then that woman wrote several posts to her husband and threatened to blackmail him. The accused woman sent her bank account to her husband on his mobile several times and demanded money, which her husband ignored. Not only this, caste-indicative abuses were also given on her husband’s number several times. Also, the woman is still blackmailing him to put pressure. Money is being demanded. Earlier also the accused woman had taken Rs 6 lakh from her husband, whose evidence she has.

Accused female policeman sent to jail: SSP Ajay Singh has said that-

On the basis of the complaint of the female Deputy Superintendent, a case has been registered against the female dog handler under blackmailing and SC/ST in Kotwali Cantt. The police have arrested the accused woman and sent her to jail. Also, action is being taken to suspend the accused woman.
