Uttarakhand: Horrific incident in Rishikesh; Cafe owner shot in the middle of the road, accused absconding

A heart-wrenching news has come out from Yoganagari Rishikesh on Wednesday night. In Tapovan area of ​​Muni Ki Reti police station area, miscreants riding a scooter shot a cafe operator dead in public. After committing the crime, the accused fled from the spot.

The deceased has been identified as Nitin Dev, a resident of Noida, who lived in a flat in Deccan Valley, Tapovan. It is being told that Nitin also has his own cafe on Veerbhadra Road. According to the information, Nitin was returning to the flat from his cafe on Wednesday night. As soon as he reached below his flat, two miscreants riding a scooter, who were lying in wait, fired bullets at him. Due to which the operator died on the spot.

The attackers fled from the spot after committing the crime. The police reached the spot and took the body in their possession and sent it for post-mortem. Also, the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby was searched to search for the accused. In which pictures of two scooty riding attackers have been captured. At present, the police is trying to identify the miscreants and trace their location.

Police suspect property dispute
Prima facie, the police suspect murder due to property dispute. Regarding the case, Senior Sub Inspector Yogesh Pandey said that the reasons for the murder are being investigated. Nitin lived alone in the flat and he has three more flats which are given on rent. After getting information about the incident, the family members of the deceased have reached the spot. The police is investigating the matter.
