Uttarakhand: Will the hydroelectric project on Gauriganga get approval? Center gives assurance

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is on a Delhi tour. During this, the CM met Union Forest Environment and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav. During this, the CM requested the Union Minister for approval regarding many important projects.
CM Dhami on Delhi tour
CM Dhami mainly requested for environmental clearance and permission for forest land transfer to the proposed 120 MW Sirkari Bhyol-Rupsiabagh hydroelectric project on the Gauriganga river. Apart from this, the CM demanded approval in the upcoming meeting of the National Wildlife Board for the construction of ropeway from Triveni Ghat to Neelkanth Mahadev Temple in Rishikesh.
Beatles Ashram will be revived
Chief Minister Dhami sought special cooperation from the Central Government for the revival of the world famous Beatles Ashram. Along with this, the CM has also demanded special assistance of Rs 404 crore under the CAMPA scheme in view of the increasing incidents of forest fire. Union Minister Bhupender Yadav showed a positive attitude on all the proposals. For which Chief Minister Dhami has expressed his gratitude.
