Uttarakhand / Haridwar: Couple committed suicide by jumping in front of Vande Bharat; still not identified

There was a sensation in Haridwar city when a couple committed suicide by jumping in front of Vande Bharat Express train. This tragic incident happened on Sunday near Sector-2 barrier, due to which there was chaos around the railway track.

According to eyewitnesses, the couple was seen walking along the track for a long time. As soon as the Vande Bharat train came near, both of them suddenly jumped on the track. They died on the spot after being hit by the train. As soon as the information of the incident was received, GRP police reached the spot and took the bodies in their possession and sent them to the district hospital for post-mortem. At present, both the deceased have not been identified.

The police have not recovered any suicide note from the spot, due to which no clear information has been received yet on the reasons behind the suicide. Regarding the matter, the police reached the spot and searched the nearby CCTV cameras, so that it could be known where both of them had come from and under what circumstances they took this step. At present the police is trying to identify the dead.
