High-tech theft! Thieves stole 10 lakh rupees without touching the ATM

You must have heard such news many times that ATMs are broken and stolen. Some thieves are so expert that they steal the entire ATM. However, this time the thieves have done a high-tech theft. In Gurugram, thieves have stolen cash worth more than 10 lakh rupees without damaging an Axis Bank ATM.

This information was given by the police on Sunday. According to the police, the thieves disabled the video recording system of the ATM booth. There is also a suspicion that this theft was done by hacking the security system of the machine.

The thieves looted 10 lakh rupees without touching the ATM

According to the news, this incident is of April 30. Where theft took place at night from the ATM of Axis Bank along with Rico Auto Industries. The victim Gaurav Kumar Baisla is an employee of ‘Hitachi Payment Services’. This company works to maintain the ATMs of many banks. He informed that the thieves looted more than 10 lakh rupees. The thieves also stole the digital video recorder (DVR), battery, hard disk, PC core and chest lock from the ATM booth.

Police will take help of technical experts

According to the officials, after the complaint, the case was registered in Sadar police station on Saturday. Station in-charge Sunil Kumar said, “We have sought help from technical experts to identify the modus operandi and the people involved in it. CCTV footage and other evidence from nearby areas are also being investigated.”
