Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “We have seen that China has made futile and absurd attempts to change the names of places in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. We categorically reject such attempts in accordance with our principled stand.” Jaiswal made this comment when questioned by the media.

He further said, “Creative naming will not change the undeniable reality that Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will always remain an integral and inseparable part of India.”
